Born on October 13, 1995, in Busan, a coastal city on the southeast of South Korea, Jimin is part of the Vocal Line, the Dance Line, the Maknae Line, and the 95 Line. Known affectionately as Jiminie, ChimChim, or Mochi, he captivates audiences with his natural charisma and stage presence. He began his military service on December 11, 2023, and is expected to be discharged in June 2025.

Jimin was the final member to join BTS and was originally recruited for his exceptional dance skills. With extensive training in contemporary dance, he quickly set himself apart by bringing elegance and artistry to the group’s hip hop foundation. Over time, he has been given opportunities to showcase solo performances, blending both his technical precision and emotional expressiveness. On stage, Jimin commands attention with his striking presence, while his soaring vocals provide many of the group’s signature high notes and ad-lib moments.

In the early years, Jimin worked to match BTS’s hip hop image, but soon embraced what fans lovingly describe as his “fairy prince aesthetic,” highlighting his angelic visuals and graceful style. Beyond his undeniable talent, he is often recognized as one of the most empathetic members, always attuned to the emotions of those around him and offering comfort when it is needed most. As the oldest in the maknae line, he naturally takes on a caring role toward V and Jungkook, strengthening their bond both on and off stage.

You can recognize Jimin as the most petite member of BTS, with delicate features and a doll-like, symmetrical face. On stage, he is often front and center, dazzling audiences with his flawless choreography and magnetic energy.

He is well-known for his warm, infectious laugh that sometimes leaves him tumbling out of his chair. Jimin is also distinguished by his meaningful tattoos, including “13” on the inside of his left wrist, “young” and “forever” on the backs of his elbows, “nevermind” across his torso, a moon series down his spine, and “youth” behind his left ear. His friendship tattoo, the “7,” is placed on the inside of his left pointer finger, visible whenever he holds his microphone.

Jimin’s hair often reflects his ethereal image, with shades ranging from blonde and light brown to pink and orange, though he occasionally returns to pure black for a striking contrast. Fans can also spot him in James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke, seated in the middle row behind RM on the passenger side.
